Adobe After Effect, Learning

Did you know what specific job mainly use After Effects for?

After Effects is kind of the Swiss Army knife for Logo Animations, show opens, explainer videos, special effects shots, graphic elements for tv shows including lower thirds, transitions, bumpers and full screen graphics.

use it for:

  • Animated title/intro sequences of video presentations;
  • Videos composed entirely of 2D animation of text, photos, or vector-based illustrations such as work done in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop;
  • Simulations of app or website interfaces, usually based on artwork initiated or processed through Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.

After Effect also use for:

  • Character animation (moving arms, legs, mouth, etc), when combined with an extension or set of scripts specialized for that, such as Duik Bassel.
  • “Hollywood movie style” special effects for modifying or adding to video scenes, such as represented in Andrew Kramer’s demo tutorials in Video CoPilot, some of which use native capabilities of AE and others depend on third-party extensions/plugins for effects.
